In an effort to “not swear”, sometimes as Christians we’ll find other words to say to steer clear of cussing. “Shoot”, “Dang”…those are some of the oldies, but you know what I’m talking about.

What inspired you to write Who Am I? What was your favorite part about writing it?
My inspiration came from working with teen girls and seeing a battle rage within each of them. We all struggle with various things in life. Ultimately these struggle comes from a need to find our confidence in Christ and not things the world offers to fill that void.
My favorite thing about writing it was the journey. It was emotional, difficult, rewarding and so many other things. When you allow God to lead and are obedient – the ride is amazing. Continue reading →

My friends are all doing cool things this year. Like graduating from college. Getting married. Grabbing book deals. Getting pregnant.
Me? I haven’t done anything fantastic this year. I’m just struggling to function as my health worsens. Just when I think I might be in the clear, along comes a new problem that sends me right back to the doctor.
